After docks and pleas, next is bail. Those who couldn't meet the bail
remain in jail until bail is met. We are appalled by those who advocate
lawlessness in these fights against corruption and impunity. Nigeria is
now a more civilized society where the rule of law and constitution must
reign supreme for us to move ahead and to build a strong democratic
institution. The days are gone when dictators woke up and made stupid
pronouncements. All Nigerians must be treated with respect and dignity
within the laws. Those guilty will pay restitution to the society. This
historical chapter will not close until all the former dictators are
held accountable.
