Falana had just made another passionate case for sanctioned lawlessness
by this administration in the fights against corruption and impunity in
Nigeria. Falana has the civil and the constitutional rights to make his
case just as we have our rights to defend the rights of every Nigerian
to due process. A Nigerian is innocent of any crime until proven
otherwise. Our laws and the constitution are enough to take on these
fights against corruption. The ongoing selective harassment of political
enemies is a charade and the entire world is mortified. There can
never be a justification for the ongoing campaign against corruption
while many of the questionable criminals are dining and wining with the
president and rewarded with juicy ministerial posts. We will never
embrace the outcome of these flawed probes.
